Why is the Afghan-Pak war escalating?
Pakistani troops killed 7 youths in Bahamcha, Helmand, Afghanistan. The soldiers were engaged in vaccination work in the area. The two countries have now agreed to hand over weapons and are about to sit at the negotiating table. The talks are expected to focus on the bodies of military and civilian citizens from the two countries in particular.
Afghan spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the two countries will refrain from firing weapons or attacking each other until a decision is made in the talks.
Mujahid said that the ceasefire has been reached at the request of Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The Afghan spokesman also gave a stern warning to Pakistan. He said that any wrongdoing by Pakistan will be responded to severely.
He also said that we, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, have accepted it. However, updates are coming; Pakistan is not stopping the aggression yet. Afghanistan will definitely protect its territory for its own interests.
The foreign ministries of Qatar and Iran have separately asked for an end to the conflict. Qatar said that both sides need to prioritise dialogue, diplomacy and restraint. They also said that an environment must be created to achieve regional security and stability so that this tension can be avoided. Iran has also said the same.
Researchers say:
The common people of both countries are worried about how long this ceasefire will last. They are continuing the war on social media. Even after the truce between the two countries, the online war of citizens has not stopped.
A certain area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan is their homeland or residence, that is, the Pathans. This is because the Pathans have lived in that area for thousands of years. But in 1893, the British created a border here and divided the Pathans into two. The Pathans of India and the Pathans of Afghanistan.
In the 19th century, a major conflict situation arose between the British and the Russians over Afghanistan, which we know as the Great Game.
Current situation: In response to the question of whether there is a second Great Game situation due to India-Pakistan on one side and China-US on the other, Afghan spokesperson Abdul Matin Kwani told us on Monday, Afghanistan is a peaceful country. We will establish peace with all countries, thinking about maintaining peace and the common people. We will not step into anyone's trap. However, we are always ready to make any decision to protect ourselves.
